Every time I see a graph like this, I remember the old Spirograph (and “Super” Spirograph) I had as a kid. I had one with sharp pins in it to hold the plastic pieces in place. You needed to have a piece of corrugated cardboard to make it work.
(And my “I”, I, of course, mean my older brother or sister, but I used it all I wanted to when they weren’t looking.
